Relevant Experience / Teaching Style: Although I do not have any official teaching experience, having lived in Taiwan for 12 years and Malaysia for 3 years, I'm confident of communicating, conveying ideas and teaching in Chinese. I didn't have any difficulties explaining in Chinese. Having studied in Singapore for 4 years, I'm also confident communicating in English. This makes me a better tutor as I am able to provide the best explanation for the students. In my opinion, most local students who need help in Chinese lack the essential linguistic sense due to insufficient understanding and exposure. My job is to customize a study plan/method for that particular student and guide him/her through, while focusing on expanding vocabulary and mastering the linguistic sense. It is my experience that linguistic sense is indispensable as it tells the subtle differences between words and phrases for any language. Personally, i'm also confident in teaching Maths for primary school students as I have gotten good grades in Maths and I think that I am able to impart the knowledge logically to the students. I was once a student taking Olevels Chinese and Higher Chinese, it is my expertise in teaching exam techniques as they are still rather fresh to me. Therefore, by combining exam techniques with the focus on linguistic sense, the student will be able to master the language in a shorter period of time. Being a JC graduate, it's also more convenient for me to communicate with students who are a little younger than me. The small age gap is helpful in teaching as the student will be more open to discussions. Available Schedule:
