About the Information We Collect

Gradtutors collects user-submitted account information such as name, email address and contact number to identify users and send notifications related to the use of our services (i.e Tuition assignments, tutor profiles, related news and occasional announcements). We also collect user-submitted profile information such as gender, age, race, education background information, location, etc. Certain information not submitted by users may also be collected by us. Examples of such information are browser type and IP address. This information is gathered for all users who visited this site.

Usage of your information collected by us

“Personal Information” refers to information that personally identifies you by your name, email address or phone number and other information that is not otherwise available publicly. We may use your personal information for the purpose of:

• Establishing contact for tutors and parents
• Identification of users

We provide different levels of exposure for registered tutors to list their profiles:

1. Tutor Search and Directory Listing
2. Featured tutors [listed on homepage and selected pages]
3. Private viewing (Only presented to potential clients who have requested for a particular tutor's profile)

Privacy Control

Gradtutors allow registered tutors to list their usernames instead of real names on the tutor profile page. Tutors may also opt to hide their photos from public viewing. The privacy settings can be updated in the restricted member login area. However, tutor's name will be revealed when client add the profile to favorite.
