Full Time Commitment

As school holidays come to an end, we have seen a huge increase in tutor request this month.

Last year, we have many part time tuition coordinators. But in order to commit ourselves to serve our customers better, we now have full timers who will commit 8 hours daily.

It has been some time since we updated our blog, as well as the web site. You may see a huge change soon!

Tuition Coordination Operation Update

Group Tuition Available

We have just launched group tuition. Students may now have an additional choice to find a group tutor from us.

The rate for group tuition is much lower for private tuition. And we believe there are some very experienced group tutors who can teach well.

Tutors may register and update their profiles as group tutor now.

Tutor Registration Limited to Tutors Above 21 Years Old

With effect from 15th March, we can only accept tutors who are above 21 years old to register with us.

We have no choice but to implement this policy, after several complaints received for young tutors.

Complaints Received for Home Tutor

Juz received a 2nd complaint from a parent who has engaged a tutor from us. This is the 2nd time we received a complaint like this, after one year of operation. Please trust that we take your complaints seriously.

We can only say that, we are not in a good position to monitor tutors’ activities after the lessons have started. There may be many reasons why the tutor wants to leave, and we cannot be solely responsible for his/her action.

This explains why we do not normally recommend specific tutors to you. We provide a list of tutors we find suitable for you to choose instead.

However, here are some guidelines for you to choose a suitable home tutor:

You may check if the tutor is heavily committed to other activities. We normally ask tutors not to take up any tuition assignments if they have a busy schedule.

You may want to engage tutors who are more mature, 20 years old and above. These are based on our observations and feebacks. No offence or prejudice.

We take all feedbacks seriously. If your tutor has not been responsible, just let us know your situation.

What is Required From a Coordinator

I have been receiving queries about what is expected of a tuition coordinator. Some tutors asked me whether they need to contribute to marketing, pay any fee to access the database etc…

Where home based work means home based work, coordinators need not pay anything. Why should we ask you to contribute anything.

This is home based work, not “home based business”.

Application for Tuition Coordinator Closed

We would like to thank you for your application. But minutes after I sent out the broadcast, more than 10 tutors responded. We are about to receive the 50th application now.

Since we go by first come first served basis, tutors need not apply for the post anymore. In any case that we need more coordinators in the near future, you are most welcomed to send in your application again.

Also, Joyce has been involved with family matters these few days. So, I suppose another coordinator can come in and help. We are sorry if you are receiving slower response from us.

High Demand for Chinese Scholars from Local Universities

For the past few months, we see an increase in demand for this category of tutor - Chinese scholars from China, studying in local universities. These shows that their teaching is effective, and students do improve.

As coordinators, we offer this suggestion to parents as an insider. They are very strong with Maths and Chinese, and able to handle secondary levels well.

If your child is struggling with Chinese in the secondary level, you may want to try out the chinese scholars. But we make no guarantee here. Whether your child can really do well in his studies still depends on many factors.
