Acceptance of Tuition Assignments
January 13th, 2006
Sometimes, we come across cases whereby tutors have agreed to take up an assignment, but couldn’t commit to teach because there are other school commitments coming up.
Well, we can understand such situations. It makes sense that if the tutor is not able to handle his/her school work well, its better to spend more time on studies instead of having more commitments.
However, one thing that irritates us most is when tutors told us there is a better offer elsewhere. So, they will not take up the assignment offer which they have agreed upon. This makes us feel stuck, “How are we going to explain to the parent who has agreed to engage the tutor’s service?”
We hope registered tutors can be more responsible with their words. And please be careful with what you can agree.
